The guide has sorted, analysed and shelved every one of them, so finding the one that suits you — and the weather — takes minutes, not an evening of open tabs. The area offers more than any stay can hold — so the point isn't a longer list, it's your list. Add anything with a + tap or talk it through with the concierge; the plan groups itself by day, warns you when two things collide, survives a reload, and one Share link sends it to the rest of your group.
The concierge
Around Tahoe, your voice is faster than any screen
Out here the moments you need help are exactly the moments you can't read a screen: hands on the wheel, halfway up a trail, gloves on at a trailhead. The concierge lives on the house's own phone number, so a voice answer is one call away with no internet at all — and when you need it, a fast answer matters. Save the concierge to your phone's contacts once, and from then on it's there at any moment through Siri or Google Assistant — no screen, no typing. You can drive, keep your eyes on the road, take in the views, and just talk: how do we get there, what's worth a stop, which trail should we pick — it answers as you go.
Voice is also the easier way through a lot of information. Scrolling long lists and weighing recommendations is work; a conversation isn't. Ask, get an answer, interrupt it mid-sentence — it stops and listens. Your concierge is an AI: it helps plan your stay, changes the plan when the day changes, finds what you need and delivers it instantly. It's run by your property host, it will say it's a computer if you ask — and anything urgent still reaches your host directly.

What this guide is not doing
Not watching you
No account, no analytics, no ad trackers, no cookies. Your plan lives in your browser and nowhere else.
Not leaking your codes
The Wi-Fi password and door code are never written into the page. Wi-Fi is fetched only after your booking link identifies you; the door opens by a rule the House tab explains.
Not pretending
The voice on the phone and in chat says it's a computer if you ask. Marketplace bookings happen on Viator's checkout, not here, and the guide says which recommendations are our own. The full plain-words note is at How this guide works.
Why it exists
Custom-made, by the owner of this house
The story began with a simple realisation: a cosy, comfortable house where everything is made with love is not, by itself, what guests need most. What matters most is the experience of staying here — and that experience is the owner's chief concern. The house answers the first part; this guide was built for the second.
The owner is an engineer with a long career in Silicon Valley startups, so building a quality software product was a task taken on with the responsibility it deserves. This isn't an off-the-shelf guest app with our name on it — it's a custom-made product, designed and built for this one house, held to one standard: your time here, spent on the lake and not on figuring things out.
